Sweeping, crystal shores, hugging the coast, Slapton sands epitomises the outstanding beauty that South Devon has to offer. The beach is perfect for all visitors, from families looking for a leisurely day playing in the water to Dog walkers looking to wear out their pups (and themselves!). Spot the water sports enthusiasts; Kayaking, Kitesurfing, and Sailing in the distance. A place to escape and take in nature at its finest. Nestled half way along the beach is Strete Gate, a mini hive of activity! Here sits the Lime Coffee Co. wagon – Serving freshly ground coffee, cold drinks, delicious pastries, and a range of great cakes. Keeping it local we love quality and service with a smile, even when it rains! Our aim is to feed the hungry, refresh the thirsty and keep the beach lovely – using biodegradable products where possible, we want to leave a mark in people’s memories not on the beach. Why the Lime? Not just a juicy, vibrant fruit that we pop in our gin! This is a homage to the areas past, South Devon is known for its abundance of limestone. Lime kilns once dotted the esturies and coastal areas in order to produce a powdered lime to transport around the country.
