Walk into Dartmouth!
If taking the ferry to Dartmouth is too easy an option why not walk? The Dart Valley Trail encompasses a walk from Dittisham to Dartmouth (about 4 miles) or Greenway to Dartmouth - and if you like further on into Totnes from Dittisham! We have the maps or you can download them from the South Devon AONB website.
South West Coast Path
We entirely agree with the Lonely Planet when they say that the South West Coast Path is one of the top walks to be found anywhere in the world! There are 630 miles in total but you could do just a bit - a gentle stroll or a strenuous hike to a deserted cove. The heritage, wildlife, geology and scenery along the way are truly inspirational and every day walking it brings stunning new experiences.
Dartmoor National Park
Dartmoor National Park is a fabulous place to go walking. With so many routes available across this wild and historic landscape.
For any walk, no matter how short, we recommend you take an OS explorer map of Dartmoor with you.
