We arrived late because we had engine trouble and the owners very kindly put on the heating and left the key in the door for us. The Folly was a self-catering little house for two people which was delightful. The owners left some drinks, chutney and marmalade for us as well as fresh water in the fridge. It was immaculately clean and we did not want for any equipment. The wood burner was made up for us and toiletries provide in the bathroom and shower. The pool is small but has a contraflow which allows for exercise and we went to sleep with the sound of the stream behind the property which was lovely. In the summer there is a little bench and small platform through the bedroom where one can sit in the sun. We had a dog with us and she was very welcome. We walked to Dittisham village and had a drink and on the second day we drove to the village and took the ferry to Dartmouth. A lovely break.
