Take the ferry to Dartmouth
Easily the best way to get to Dartmouth is to walk into Dittisham and catch the ferry from down on the pontoon by the Ferry Boat Inn. They run every half hour from 10.30 - 17.00 daily and you get a super trip without the hassle of parking your car when you arrive. Call 07818 001108 or 07907 528201 to book - essential in the summer as they only carry 12 passengers at a time.
Dittisham Boat Hire can be found down on the pontoon by The Ferry Boat Inn. Here you can choose from motor boats, sailing boats, kayaks and stand up paddle boards.
Take a trip on a paddle steamer
The 'Kinswear Castle' is the last remaining coal fired paddle steamer in the UK and she was built on the River Dart! In 1924 she was launched from Noss by Philip & Son Ltd and you can take a trip from Dartmouth on this gorgeous ship from a bygone era.
Dartmouth Regatta has so much going on - rowing, sailing, Red Arrows, helicopter displays, review of classic craft, road races, water polo, tug of war, swimming, crabbing, lots to enjoy... or take part in if you're feeling energetic!
